Sponsorship Information

$50.00 Sponsorship (Great birthday presents and "In Memory Of...")
Foster bassettHelping Paws Rescue uses donations and adoption fees to take care of the animals in our care. One way individuals can help is by sponsoring an animal already in our care. For a donation of $50.00 we will list you on the website and any adoption flyers as the pet's sponsor. This is also a great community service opportunity for businesses. If the animal is very new and hasn't been named then you will have the chance to name the pet as well. If you are interested in sponsoring one of the pets you see listed on our website please call us at 706-227-7887 or email us at pawtropolis@aol.com.

If you do this sponsorship for someone else as a gift or in memory of someone we will send out a card or letter letting them know of your kind donation on their behalf.

Full Sponsorship
Every once in a while a pet at animal control will catch someone's eye. Sometimes we can take an animal in if we have a person willing to give full financial sponsorship for that pet. WARNING: It is only occasionally that we can do this. 75% of the time we will say no. Most of the time our rescue is full, but it is always worth asking just in case. Though we work with all animals regardless of breed, personality, dominance level, issues, etc. we make very strict requirements for the dogs we take in through this program. We will not take the following:

  • Rescue logoDogs over 7 years old.
  • Adult dominant unneutered males.
  • Dogs showing any aggression to humans or animals.
  • Pit bulls (we do take pit bulls, just not in through our sponsorship program)
  • Dogs already showing expensive medical needs (unless the sponsor is committed to paying for those as well.)

Below are the three Full Sponsorship types:

Miscellaneous Donations
If you would like to make a monetary donation or sponsor an animal for Helping Paws Rescue, you may do so by clicking the link below. The animals of Helping Paws Rescue thank you.

Dog on bedYou may also donate a sturdy Kuranda bed. These beds last for a long time, meaning that many many foster animals will make good use of them before they have to be replaced. So a donation of a Kuranda bed goes to great use. Click on the happy dog on his bed to be directed to the site that offers the "Donate a Bed" program.

Featured Guest
Featured guest pet Meet Bacchus. Talk about a big boy. Bacchus may be big but he's all puppy. He loves to play, running around outside with all his other large dog friends. Having a bad day? Just let Bacchus give you a big kiss and you can't help but smile.

Featured Adoptable
Featured Adoptable Meet Margie. Margie was scheduled to be adopted from Gwinnett Animal Control. When the family showed up and saw that she had sores on her skin they decided they didn't want her. Poor Margie's skin looks horrible. She suffered from the non-contagious mange. Though she's feeling much better her skin has a long way to go to look normal. Many people are passing her over because of this. Learn more about her story on the "Dogs for Adoption" page.
