Local Dogs in Competition We are very proud to have many our our dogs readily participating in competitive sports. This page features both our employee and customer pets that are currently competing or have obtained titles already. We will also provide helpful links when we can regarding the sports that are featured. Check back often to watch, and root for, the dogs as they get more and more titles.
Champion Brisline's Slam Dunk NJP From Mom: Eli came to me when he was six months old. I lived in California at the time in a very small condo with another Airedale, Henry. While Henry was a gentleman, I've always described Eli as having the personality of a mischievous nine year old boy - one look at the grin on his face and his wagging tail will confirm that. He grew up going to dog parks where he learned canine manners. Eli is a very outgoing fellow, always eager to be friends.
Sally is part of team 3 Dog Flight (used to be Fire and Ice but with the addition of another competing family member the name had to be changed). Sally has been competing since about February 2008. Dock Diving is an amazing athletic sport. It combines the dogs natural retrieving instinct and their love for the water. The goal: the longest jump possible! Sally's best jump so far is 20'8". Sally also competes in what is called Speed Retrieve. Both Sally and Spud are members of Dixie Dock Dogs. They encourage people to learn about the sport and maybe even join them for practices. Take a look at Sally's dock diving music video! Sally and Spud have their own blog complete with additional photos and updated news on their competitions. Check 'em out!
East Hill Sumo's Yukon Gold "Spud" Spud is part of Team 3 Dog Flight (used to be Fire and Ice but with the addition of another competing family member the name had to be changed). He has only been competing in dock diving since May 2008 and already has earned his Senior Title. Dock Diving is an amazing athletic sport. It combines the dogs natural retrieving instinct and their love for the water. The goal: the longest jump possible! Spud's best jump so far is 17'10".
