Central Bark

Central BarkCentral Bark is a securely fenced in off-leash dog park. It is available for a small fee for owners to bring their dogs to hang out and have fun. Because Pawtropolis is a stickler for pet safety and obedience we are extending some of our policies to the Central Bark area to ensure it is always a safe, disease free, fun park for dogs and owners to enjoy. Owners can be sure that all pets that are playing in the area are all vaccinated and healthy. Pawtropolis animal caretakers will often pop their head in to make sure good dog park etiquette is being observed as well.

Central BarkThe park features a double gate system. This is a safety feature that makes sure dogs cannot escape as other pets are entering the park. The smaller gated area is also a great place for nervous new dogs to hang out until they get brave enough to enter the park. Bowls and fresh water are always available in the park as well as a hose for dogs that need a good cool down from playing in the hot sun.

One of the best features of Central Bark is the lighting. This will make the park available for use even after dark (which will be fantastic during the winter months.)

Central BarkThere are also benches and picnic tables for the humans to enjoy (dogs aren't allowed on tables.) Pawtropolis will keep a variety of toys in the park but suggest owners to bring a few of their own if they like. The key to the park is attached to a "Chuck-It" so owners will already have a ball launcher ready for use.

Owners must provide proof of rabies, dhpp, bordetella and must be worm-free. Vet records as well as a Central Bark enrollment form will be kept at the front office. The enrollment form can be completed before the first visit.

Use of Central Bark is Free!

Rules and Policies of the park

  • All Central Barkdogs must be current on rabies, dhpp, bordetella. (Puppies simply need to be up-to-date on what they are old enough for.)
  • No females in heat or recently out of heat.
  • Owners must pick-up after their dogs. Poop bags and trash receptacles are provided.
  • Keep dogs off benches and tables.
  • If you notice your dog has worms they must immediately be removed from Central Bark.
  • Even if the park is unlocked, owners MUST check in at the front counter before entering the park.
  • Each owner is responsible for disciplining and enforcing proper play etiquette with their dogs. Large dogs should know how to appropriately play with small dogs and as well as the other way around. Dogs that make the play environment unpleasant for others will be asked to leave. (Can come when the park is unoccupied.)
  • Pawtropolis staff may often patrol the park. They will discipline and intervene as they see necessary (according to our inside daycare rules.) Feel free to ask them any questions.

Featured Guest
Featured guest pet Meet Bacchus. Talk about a big boy. Bacchus may be big but he's all puppy. He loves to play, running around outside with all his other large dog friends. Having a bad day? Just let Bacchus give you a big kiss and you can't help but smile.

Featured Adoptable
Featured Adoptable Meet Margie. Margie was scheduled to be adopted from Gwinnett Animal Control. When the family showed up and saw that she had sores on her skin they decided they didn't want her. Poor Margie's skin looks horrible. She suffered from the non-contagious mange. Though she's feeling much better her skin has a long way to go to look normal. Many people are passing her over because of this. Learn more about her story on the "Dogs for Adoption" page.
