Cats for Adoption
Cats can only be adopted to indoor homes and to families that will promise not to have them declawed.
Lucia - Courtesy Listing
Lucia's family recently had a baby and has decided to find a home for her. Below is from her current owner:
"I've included her pic and am asking 100$ to show that they are willing and able to invest in a pet (we paid 600$ for a dilute calico persian w/ papers). She is 3 years old and likes to have her nails clipped and hair brushed. She is also used to having a bath regularly. She has never scratched my furniture and instead prefers to sharpen claws on the rug, so if someone provided a scratching post for her I'm sure she would use it. The only thing she needs is shots. She eats iams food. She needs someone who is very affectionate as she likes to cuddle.
"
Since Lucia is a courtesy listing Pawtropolis cannot provide any information on her. You will need to contact Laura directly at 770-633-1974 or by email at laura_arevcop@yahoo.com.
Sophie
Sophie has been with Helping Paws Rescue since she was a tiny kitten that could fit in your pocket. Because we have had her since such a young age, she is very socialized and accustomed to a variety of situations. She spends most of her time between two foster homes, both of which have other dogs and cats. In one home, she lives with a very playful cat and they will play together for hours. In her other home, she lives with a more reserved cat who prefers lounging around, so Sophie has befriended the dogs and has fun playing with them.
No matter where she is, she loves to spend time with her people and is content to cuddle and take naps with you or join you in some playtime. If everyone else is preoccupied, Sophie will play with her toys all on her own or sit and watch whatever you are doing. She is slightly enamored with the printer and whenever she hears it start up, she will hurry over and watch with amazement until all the pages have been printed. Sophie would do great in a home with another playful cat, cat savvy dogs, or someone willing to provide a variety of interactive toys and adequate playtime.
Sophie is completely litter box trained and has done a tremendous job of sharpening her claws in only the appropriate places. Having a clean litter box and scratching post in addition
to disciplining her when she acts inappropriately will reinforce good behavior and guarantee that her good house manners continue. She is completely up-to-date on her vaccines and spayed, so she is prepared to go to her forever home.
Since Sophie does not spend much time at Pawtropolis, if you would like to meet her please e-mail her foster moms Billie Rae King (billie_rae_84@yahoo.com) and Sara Beth Moore (sbmoore@uga.edu) to set up a time.
Below is a video of her playing with friend Landy when she was just a baby.
