Lucia - Adopted!! lucia

Lucia was actually bought from a breeder as a kitten. She has lived with a family for the last four years. After the arrival of their first human baby they decided they didn't have the time for her. Since I know this family I agreed to take Lucia in and find her a home. She is a dilute calico Persian just over four years old.

The first time I met Lucia she had been through a lot the past few days. They had drove to SC to pick her up from their parents, drove back down to their house a few days and then to us. I figured she would be pretty terrified of being in a new place and would hiss and hide at least for the first few days. That was not the case. As soon as I reached into her room she leaned towards me and was in heaven at just the slightest touch I gave her.

Lucia's fur wasn't kept in good shape so we had to work on getting her cleaned up. When I brushed her she absolutely loved it! Rubbing against the comb and sitting patiently as I combed through the mess. She was even good when the groomer had to shave most of her back legs and tail. Lucia is an amazingly affectionate cat.

Lucia needs to go to a home that understands the high maintenance of a Persian. She will need daily brushing and face washing. Due to the breed appearances she has difficulty breathing (you can hear her breathe most of the time) as well as runny eyes. Her owner has to be diligent to keep her face clean and keep her healthy.

We do not ship pets so we are looking for a home no further than 2 hours away from Athens, GA. Lucia is not declawed and her new owners will have to sign saying they will not have this procedure done to her in the future. She can be an indoor only cat.
